Condo Adviser Awarded “Best Practice Group Blog Award” by Clawbies

2015 Canadian Law Blog Awards Winner The winners of the 10th Annual Canadian Law Blog Awards (the Clawbies) were announced on December 31, 2015. We are honoured and delighted to report that Condo Adviser was awarded the Best Practice Group Blog Award! This category rewards blogs by practice or industry groups in large law firms.

Clawbies describes this category as one providing clients and lawyers with a “one-stop-shop” for information and insights in a specific area of law. Our awarding recognition reads:

“Led by Ottawa partner Rod Escayola, a province-wide team of lawyers covers the Ontario condominium scene from ground floor to penthouse, including blow-by-blow coverage of Bill 106.”

While there is no specific checklist of criteria, Clawbies lists the following 4 key characteristics against which Clawbies nominees are measured:

  1. Law blogs are practical, offering implementable insights and real-world solutions for readers more than airy reflections on the state of the law;
  2. Law blogs are genuine, delivering the authentic voice and actual opinions of the lawyers who write them;
  3. Law blogs are conversational, engaging the reader as an interested and intelligent observer who has as much to contribute as she has to learn;
  4. Law blogs are about improving the legal system, either by expanding the knowledge base of citizens and clients or making law better for society.

Condo Adviser shares this prize with Canadian Class Actions Monitor (by McCarthy Tétrault) and Startup Source (by Aird & Berlis).

Congratulations to all of the other winners and runners up and many thanks to our readership!
